Sean Clark Ltd which I set up 2 yrs back as a search & social media marketing consultancy.
I develop strategies to help companies leverage online to grow their business. This includes Social Media, SEO and Google Adwords. I also helped develop the social media strategy for the East of England Co-Op.
I have experience in e-commerce and online marketing, and a background in sales. I first got into online via website sales for 101 Media in Norwich. One of my strengths is that I can be a good go-between/translator between developers and customers.
I like sharing my ability to show people something beyond the technology. Online isn’t frightening – normal business rules apply. I like the moment it dawns where the benefit becomes clear. And its very satisfying to see businesses grow as a result.
It can be a challenge to get the business to story-tell. Also it can be hard to generate an earned presence in the online world.
I use an app called Flipboard, plus Twitter feeds, webinars and other presentations. I also enjoy talking to people in the field to keep myself up to date.
I would have liked to get into digital earlier and have had the chance to recognise the potential.
Mac for desktop – because of speed. Android for mobile devices.
Google platform as it is open & free.
Jazz, especially Charlie “Bird” Parker.
Dog
Chess – addicted to the game
They think it is boring – they don’t want to go near a spreadsheet again. They don’t get it.
Back to ZX-81 days – the ‘80s.
I got into it through selling web sites in the days when everyone had to have a web site but no one was really sure why.
Kurasie – it’s a content curation application. Essentially it’s a “suped-up” RSS reader that connects to social media & your blog so you can share hand-selected topics to your intended audience. Its designed to be an intelligent content-creator, rather than something random and automated.
I think it will be unrecognisable from today. There will be a continuing shift to mobile as we’ve already seen in the last few years. Everything is far more connected now. Pre-cognitive technology will develop to deliver relevant content to the user.
I’m a bit of an introvert.
X-Box recently. PC formerly with Counter-Strike.
Counter Strike. Strategy games
Accident – I’m from Essex originally and came here on business initially as a sales rep for Carlsberg.
Getting about in Norfolk can be a challenge. I believe technology should be leveraged more to engender closer links.
